Critical Care Communication
Educating Intensive Care Professionals
Thursday 19th March 2020
Wednesday 14th October 2020
Course fee £150
This course is not-for-profit - see more here
The course is run at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust in our purpose built simulation centre. Salford Royal has excellent road links and is sited in the west of Manchester.
Our courses usually start at 0800 and finish by 1700. Please check the details sent out prior to the course to ensure you have the most current information.
The course fee includes tea/coffee and lunch.
If you are travelling from further afield and plan to stay the night before the course we recommend staying in MediaCityUK/Salford Quays. This is located about a mile away from the hospital and will make your morning journey easier than if you stay in Manchester City centre.
The course is run on a cost-neutral basis. We have to charge a fee to pay for the actors, without whom the course just would not work, and to provide tea/coffee and lunch during the course. We know that some courses no longer provide refreshments in order to keep costs down however in our setting this would cause disruption to the day. We also think the opportunity to talk to peers from around the country over lunch is a valuable side benefit of the course.
We are fortunate that we can use the sim centre at Salford without charge and even more fortunate that our faculty give their time for free. We think the course is great value for money but are always willing to listen to feedback if you feel it isn't.
